Lesson.27 胃痛 / Stomachache

Patient / I have been having a slight stomachache recently.

Doctor / Is the pain related to meals?

患者 / この頃少し胃が痛みます。

医師 / 食事との関係はどうでしょう。

Patient / I feel the pain when I'm hungry.

Doctor / Do you drink wine or do you smoke?

患者 / おなかが空くと痛みます。

医師 / お酒は飲みますか。タバコは吸いますか。

Patient / I don't smoke but I drink almost a bottle of beer everyday.

Doctor / Let's do an X-ray examination of the digestive tract. You should cut down on alcohol for a while and also avoid stimulating foods.

患者 / タバコは吸いませんが、ビールを毎日1本位飲んでいます。

医師 / 消化管のX線検査をしましょう。しばらくは、アルコールを控えて下さい。刺激のある食べ物も避けてください。

知っておきたい豆知識

・胃の痛みの表現として、sharp pain「激痛」dull pain「鈍痛」boring pain「キリキリする痛み」ping pain「さし込むような痛み」等もある。
