Lesson.35 息切れ / Shortness of breath

Patient / I get short of breath when I walk up stairs or hills.

Doctor / Do you have chest pain?

患者 / 坂道や階段を上がる時に息切れがします。

医師 / 胸の痛みはありますか。

Patient / No, I don't, but I do have a feeling of tightness in my chest.

Doctor / Have you ever been told that there was anything wrong with your lungs?

患者 / ありません。胸が苦しいだけです。

医師 / 肺の異常を指摘されたことがありますか。

Patient / I had pneumonia a few years ago.

Doctor / I'd like to have an X-ray of your chest taken just to be on the safe side.

患者 / 2〜3年前に肺炎にかかったことがあります。

医師 / 念のため、胸のX線写真をとりましょう。

知っておきたい豆知識

・「息切れ」を表す言葉として他に「being（またはgetting）out of breath」もありますが、専門用語では「dyspnea（呼吸困難）」を用います。
